Description

The SonicWall 02-SSC-2264-231C SonicWave 231C Wireless Access Point features three radios operating on different frequency bands:

– 2.4 GHz radio: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n with a frequency range of 2.412 – 2.484 GHz.
– 5 GHz radio: IEEE 802.11a/n/ac with multiple frequency ranges, including 5.150 – 5.250 GHz (UNII-1), 5.250 – 5.350 GHz (UNII-2), 5.470 – 5.600 GHz, 5.660 – 5.725 GHz (UNII-2e), and 5.725 – 5.825 GHz (UNII-3).

The access point supports various operating channels:
– For the 2.4 GHz band, channels 1 – 13 are available.
– For the 5 GHz band, channels 36 – 64, 100 – 140, and 149 – 165 are supported.

Transmit output power can be adjusted based on regulatory requirements and administrator specifications.

Modulation technology used includes Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) for 802.11ac.

Data encryption methods supported are WPA2, IPSec, 802.11i, WPA, and various encryption standards such as 64/128/152-bit WEP, TKIP, AES, and SSL VPN.

Authentication options include RADIUS, Active Directory, and single sign-on (SSO).

The access point is designed for ceiling mounting and includes a dedicated third scanning radio.
